Ideally, your bags should be heavy-duty Carrier Bags with Reinforced Handles. Individually wrap each piece of crockery with Tissue Paper, Kraft Paper or Bubble Wrap, placing each item carefully into the carrier bag, preferably resting on top of one another if they are bowls or plates. If you sell loose crockery in a shop and you only have carry bags on hand, flatten the base of your carry bag on the counter and place a layer of Corrugated Cardboard Sheeting or Bubble Wrap on the base. PACKING LOSE CROCKERY INTO BAGS IN A STORE Remember to tape it all together, so the bubble wrap doesn’t unravel. If you would prefer to use just bubble wrap on your glasses, then cut a large sheet and roll your glasses in the sheet, packing the ends into the glass itself for better structural protection. If you feel you need additional protection, use bubble wrap or kraft paper as an extra outer layer safeguard. Roll your glasses in a sheet of tissue paper, then fold the ends into the opening and around the base for extra cushioning. Our Acid-Free Tissue Paper is soft, non-scratch and easy to fold around any glassware. Unlike plates and bowls, glassware is a little trickier to pack, requiring gentle handling and packaging that is non-scratch, especially complex shapes such as wine glasses. Bubble Wrap Protect Crockery and glassware and furniture HOW TO WRAP GLASSWARE Do not use bubble wrap on polished furniture, as an imprint of the bubbles can be left on the surfaces. Small bubbles are packed tighter together and best for heavier products like doors, picture frames and furniture. Big bubbles are softer than small ones, making them ideal for delicate items and great for filling voids. The large bubbles are for soft cushioning and tough protection. Bubble Wrap is highly cost-effective, fully recyclable, and comes in 2 bubble size options – large and small. It offers excellent protection from miss-handling, as it’s easy to wrap around products multiple times if necessary. Made from recycled plastics, Bubble Wrap is still the most popular way to protect breakables. Protecting Crockery with Brown Kraft Paper USING BUBBLE WRAP TO PROTECT HOUSEHOLD GOODS Furniture companies favour corrugated cardboard to wrap the legs and arms of chairs and tables to protect from bumps. The fluted cardboard is recyclable, biodegradable and made from recycled paper from sustainable resources. Corrugated Cardboard Sheeting is sold in various size options, with our small rolls being 650mm wide or, alternatively, our much larger rolls for bigger projects are either 1200mm or 1500mm, all of which at a roll length of 75m. The smooth side of the cardboard sheeting protects from scratching, whilst the fluted side cushions the plates from damage. Interlace the fluted cardboard sheeting between the plates. Despite the environmentally friendly material, quality is not compromised as its thickness still offers excellent cushioning to help prevent scratching and scuffing.Īnother eco-friendly method of protecting your plates and bowls is to use our Corrugated Cardboard Sheeting. Recycled Natural Kraft paper is cost-effective and fully recyclable, biodegradable, and home compostable.
